Yael is an Australian living in New York City, played Lorna in Orange Is the New Black. Yael Stone was a graduate of NIDA. Yael, despite her young age, has had the privilege of learning from the most famous storytellers in Australia. Yael's work is well-known and thriving in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael moved from Australia to New York City after the Brooklyn Academy of Music's staging of the play had an enormous success. Yael created The Cannery with her co-founders. The Cannery promotes creative writing, and creative endeavors through its Bushwick studio.
