Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954, in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson & Thomas Allison Lennox is the name used by her parents. Lennox took classes in piano, flute as well as harpsichord at Royal Academy of Music London for three years throughout the 70s. Lennox was able to survive on an allowance for students working part-time in order to help supplement her income. Lennox was a student at the Royal Academy of Music in London, was not happy with her performance compared to that of her classmates. She started to think about different options. Lennox was a part of a group known as Dragons Playground as the flute player in the year 1976. She left the band before the band was requested to take part in I.T.V.'s talent show New Faces. She was the lead singer for The Tourists (a British popband) from 1977 to 1980. In this band, she made friends with Dave Stewart and together they formed their duo Eurythmics. Lennox went on to release her first solo album Diva. The album came out in 1992. The album received a lot of praise both from the press and critics. Nostalgia Lennoxs six solo album that was released in October 2014 included Nostalgia Lennox. The C.D. Lennox has chosen her favorite jazz, blues and soul tracks. Lepidoptera includes four keyboard improvised tracks. The E.P. First album of hers, Now I Letting You Go... is the perfect accompaniment to her work of art in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. Annie Lennox born December 25 1954 is a Scottish activist, politician and philanthropist. She is also a musician and singer. The Tourists were a new-wave group who had some popularity in the latter part of 1970s. Then, she was joined by the band with fellow musician Dave Stewart to form the pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox began her solo career in 1992 with the release of Diva with a number of successful songs such as Why and Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa her 1995 studio album includes cover versions of tracks such asNo MoreI Love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. Her solo albums include six studio albums and compilation albums.
